Abstract:
The paper considers a video signal processing method for measuring the speed of railway cars when splitting up of train on a gravity hump. The developed algorithms are based on geometric models and mathematical methods of image processing. The paper provides the description of the methods of model formation, the methods for determining the displacement of the train in the plane of the recorder (CCD matrix of a digital video camera), the functioning of the developed method.
