Abstract:
We experimentally determine an average liner water-rotation rate of polystyrene microspheres, 5 microns in diameter, in vortex laser beams. It is shown that if orbital angular momentum (OAM) of a beam has a tenfold increase (from 3 to 30), the radius of vortex beam rotation has a threefold increase, whereas the speed of microparticles - only twofold increase. We also performed similar experiments for Bessel beams of different orders.

Key words:
vortex beam, orbital angular momentum, high order Bessel beams, optical microparticles rotation.
