Abstract:
Modeling of local electromagnetic field intensity near surfaces of spherical dielectric and metal (silver) nanoparticles of 40 nm radius (which are placed in air and near a two dielectrics plane boundary) is carried out using the scattered field technique and FDTD algorithm for exciting radiation wavelength 405 nm. Estimations of the region and the quantity of near field maximal enhancement are obtained, and effects of the boundary on the field distribution in the system are analyzed. As a special case, we investigate nanocomposites on the basis of silver nanoparticles and high-silicious glasses obtained by sol-gel technologies.
