Abstract:
We study deals with the transformation of a uniformly polarized Bessel beam in a crystal of Iceland spar in nonparaxial regime. The polarization transformations taking place in the crystal are numerically and experimentally investigated. It is shown that these transformations provide the interaction of ordinary and extraordinary beams, which becomes significant only in the nonparaxial regime.

Key words:
uniaxial crystal, Bessel beams, polarization transformation, interaction of ordinary and extraordinary beams.
