Abstract:
Based on the analysis of the aberration properties of aspherical surfaces formed by the rotation of the evolvent of a circle relative to the normal at some point of the evolvent, prof. M.M. Rusinov showed that transverse second-order aberrations are present in a centered axisymmetric optical system containing one or more surfaces of the above type [1]. In [2], a wider class of aspherical surfaces introducing second-order transverse aberrations into the centered axisymmetric optical system was considered.
