Abstract:
The paper proposes a method for solving the system of Maxwell’s equations for the case of diffraction of a plane electromagnetic wave by a diffractive optical element shaped as a thin plate with a microrelief. The calculation was performed within the framework of the rigorous electromagnetic theory. The method is based on reducing the original system of Maxwell’s equations to a system of integro-differential equations.
