Abstract:
Analytical solutions of the ray equation are obtained for a radially gradient medium with a refractive index profile limited by the quartic and sextic terms of the distance from the optical axis in the series expansion of the refractive index.
Keywords:
radially gradient medium, ray equation, optical axis.
