Abstract:
This paper presents two modifications of one method for solving the wave equation describing the propagation of primary cosmic rays in vacuum in the two-dimensional case. The article analyzes the similarity between the obtained equations and the Fresnel diffraction integral [4]. The following normalization is used for computational convenience: the speed of light is 1, the carrier frequency is 2π. Thus, all the time parameters will be expressed in terms of the number of periods of the carrier frequency, and the parameters measured in meters will be expressed in terms of the number of wavelengths of the carrier frequency.
